YOUTH ENTREPRENEUR SPACE IN SUPPORT OF SMALL BUSINESSES OWNED AND OPERATED BY YOUTH IN OUR COMMUNITY

Details:

  • Open to Youth between the ages of 10 - 20 years old who reside in Wellington County. Youth under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult.

  • EFM will provide one vendor space each week throughout the Market season (May - December) to be booked on a first come, first serve basis. Youth Entrepreneurs may book the space a maximum of two times in a year. If the Youth Entrepreneur wishes to have a vendor space beyond the two sponsored dates, regular vendor rates apply.

  • Youth Entrepreneur Spaces are free, there is no vendor fee.

  • Interested Youth must complete the Application below.

  • EFM will supply a tent canopy (10' x 10'), one table, and Youth Entrepreneur signage. Please bring your own chairs. Youth Entrepreneurs are required to assist in set up, take down and storage of the tent canopy, and table.

  • Youth Entrepreneur is responsible for all other equipment needed.

  • Youth Entrepreneur is required to adhere to the rules and policies of the EFM. These rules and policies can be found in the Vendor Handbook.

  • Food vendors must meet the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health regulations. Including completing a Farmers Market Food Vendor Application Form available at wdgpublichealth.ca

  • Whenever possible, EFM will promote the Youth Entrepreneur on social media. The Youth Entrepreneur is encourages to tag EFM on social media in promotion of their business.

  • EFM reserves the right to refuse any application.

Examples of Eligible Goods and Services:

  • Art

  • Crafts

  • Clothing, handmade and personalized.

  • Handmade jewelry.

  • Food and drink items, including baking, preserves, frozen, ready to eat or take home foods (providing they meet Public Health requirements).

  • Farm raised products such as produce, meats, cheeses (providing they meet Public Health requirements).

  • Henna

  • Flowers, floral arrangements

  • Others goods and services appropriate to a Farmers’ Market setting.

  • Alcohol or cannabis products not permitted.

Once your application has been reviewed you will be contacted. Your application is not approved until confirmation has been received via email from the Elora Farmers' Market.
